The Sigiriya VR Experience at EKHO Sigiriya lasts about 15 minutes and takes place indoors at the EKHO Sigiriya hotel in Sri Lanka. It begins with a guided orientation session that introduces the historical context of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Participants then wear a VR headset and explore a detailed digital reconstruction of the fortress as it appeared in the 5th century, showing the royal complex, gardens, and engineering features in their original form rather than as ruins. After the VR portion, there is an interactive question-and-answer session to discuss the visuals and information presented. The experience uses historical and archaeological research to create accurate visuals. The entire session avoids crowds and exposure to outdoor heat.
