Overview

This private walking tour lasts four hours and includes a licensed English-speaking guide authorized by the government. The tour begins at the agreed meeting point, typically the Miyajimaguchi Passenger Terminal Ticket Office near the ferry boarding area for Miyajima. The guide can also meet guests in Hiroshima city or at Hiroshima cruise port if arranged in advance. Travel time to and from Miyajima island is included within the four-hour duration. On the island, the guide will lead a walking tour covering key locations based on the guest's interests. The itinerary usually includes Miyajima Omotesando Shopping Street, where visitors can explore souvenir shops and snack stalls. The tour also visits Itsukushima Shrine, known for its iconic floating torii gate, which appears to float on the water at high tide. The guide will show the island's friendly wild deer and may include a visit to Daishō-in temple on Mount Misen, a historic temple complex noted for its many statues and autumn maple trees. Optional stops can include Tenshinkaku, a hilltop café with views of Toyokuni Shrine, the five-story pagoda, and the Seto Inland Sea. The tour requires walking only, with no vehicle transport included. Transportation fees such as the ferry, streetcar, entrance fees, lunch, and other personal expenses are not included and must be paid separately. The Miyajima visitor tax of 100 yen per person is also not included and must be paid in cash. The guide's entry fees are covered only for the sights listed in the itinerary. The tour is private and does not combine multiple groups.
