Overview

This three-hour hiking tour begins with a meeting where participants meet the guide and receive an explanation of the route. The hike starts with a visit to Hiroshima Toshogu Shrine, where the group spends about half an hour learning about its architecture and cultural significance from Shinto priests. Next, the tour proceeds to Kinko Inari Shrine, where hikers walk through a line of more than 100 red torii gates and climb 500 steps as part of the trail through Mt. Futaba. At the summit, the Futabayama Peace Pagoda offers views over Hiroshima City, the Seto Inland Sea, and Miyajima. After enjoying the scenery, participants can relax with a forest bathing session in the surrounding woodland. The final part of the tour is a 60-minute Nodate, an open-air tea ceremony led by the guide at Okumiya Shrine, with panoramic views. The tour concludes with a return to Hiroshima Station.
