San Francisco is home to the famous Golden Gate Bridge and nearby redwood forests. This guided bus tour lasts about four and a half hours. It begins with a narrated drive from downtown San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge, including a stop at the Northern side Vista Point where guests can take photos of the bridge, Fort Baker, and the city skyline. The tour passes notable city sites such as the Palace of Fine Arts, built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, and the Presidio area, which includes the Tunnel Top Gardens and Crissy Field, a former WWII Air Force base. After crossing the bridge, the route continues through Marin County with views of Richardson Bay, Sausalito, Tiburon, Strawberry Point, and Mount Tamalpais. At Muir Woods National Monument, guests spend about one hour and twenty minutes walking among old-growth coastal redwoods. The park covers 554 acres, with 240 acres of ancient Sequoia sempervirens trees, which thrive in the region's cool, foggy climate. Following the forest visit, the tour heads to Sausalito for about one hour at the waterfront. Visitors can walk along the boardwalk, view the bay and downtown San Francisco, visit local art galleries and souvenir shops, and have lunch in seafood restaurants. The tour ends with a return drive to San Francisco hotels, or guests may opt to stay longer in Sausalito and take a ferry back to the city at their own expense. The tour includes a professional guide, bottled water, air-conditioned vehicle, and the entrance fee to Muir Woods for bookings made after July 13.
