The tour begins with a safety briefing and fitting of helmets, harnesses, and lanyards before guests start the zipline adventure across the Maurepas Swamp. This guided swamp zipline tour lasts about 75 minutes and covers more than half a mile of ziplines and suspension bridges above moss-covered cypress trees. Participants will have opportunities to see alligators and various swamp animals from elevated platforms in the treetops. The Zip NOLA facility includes a 1,200 square foot gift shop offering New Orleans souvenirs, snacks, and beverages, as well as an enclosure housing baby alligators and turtles. There are also spacious restrooms, locker storage, a picnic green space, and a 2,000 square foot elevated seating area overlooking the cypress swamp, where guests can relax and observe the surrounding wildlife. Transportation is not included but can be arranged for an additional fee. The tour provides all necessary safety equipment and instructions to ensure a secure experience.
