This two-hour beginner surf lesson on South Fistral Beach in Newquay is designed for people new to surfing or those needing a refresher. Qualified instructors with ISA and lifeguard certifications teach the basic techniques and safety needed to start surfing. The lesson includes free use of surfboards and wetsuits, including boots, gloves, and hoods during winter months. The surf school is recognized as a Surfing England Centre of Excellence and is the longest running in Newquay. Lessons limit the instructor-to-student ratio to one instructor per eight participants. Participants must be at least seven years old, able to swim, and those under ten must be accompanied by an adult. Indoor changing rooms, hot showers, and lockers are available. Towels and swimwear are not provided and should be brought by participants.
