Overview

Niagara Falls is a large waterfall system on the border between Canada and the United States. This walking tour lasts about three hours and includes a boat ride and a visit to Journey Behind the Falls. The tour begins by meeting the guide and group at the designated location. Participants walk to the Niagara City Cruises dock to board the boat, which operates starting in the first weeks of May. The boat ride lasts about 20 minutes and brings passengers close to the falls where they can feel the mist. A poncho is provided to help stay dry during the cruise. After the boat ride, the guide leads the group on foot toward Journey Behind the Falls, pointing out landmarks and sharing brief information about Niagara’s history and main features. The visit continues at Table Rock Visitor Center, where guests enter the Journey Behind the Falls attraction. Visitors descend 19 stories into tunnels behind the falls and reach viewing ledges next to the cascading water, experiencing the sound and power of about 3,160 tons of water. The tour operates outdoors in all weather conditions and covers roughly 2 kilometers. Guests should wear suitable footwear for uneven terrain. Early morning departures at 7:45 am are available to avoid crowds and get clearer photo opportunities. Optional skip-the-line entry to Skylon Tower and the Daredevils Exhibit is also offered with some ticket choices.
