Overview

The day begins with a hotel pickup in Hanoi Old Quarter by limousine bus, heading to Ninh Binh. The first stop is Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest temple complex in Southeast Asia, featuring 500 stone Arhat statues, a 36-ton bronze bell, and a 100-ton Buddha statue. Visitors spend about two hours exploring the pagoda before a Vietnamese buffet lunch at a local restaurant, with both meat and vegetarian options. After lunch, the tour continues to the Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its extensive network of caves and waterways. Guests take a two-hour bamboo boat ride through caves such as Sang (Light) Cave, Toi (Dark) Cave, and Nau Ruou (Cooking Wine) Cave, while also enjoying views of the surrounding limestone mountains and temples. The next stop is Mua Cave, also called Dancing Cave, where travelers climb nearly 500 steps to reach the summit of Lying Dragon Mountain. From this vantage point, there is a panoramic view of the Tam Coc area. After about an hour at Mua Cave, the group returns by bus to Hanoi Old Quarter, arriving back in the early evening. The tour includes a professional English-speaking guide, all sightseeing fees, bottled water, and round-trip shuttle bus transfers.
