Overview

This small-group bus tour lasts about 8 and a half hours and covers Oahu from Waikiki to the North Shore. The tour starts with hotel pickup in Waikiki or Kahala between 8:00 and 8:15 am. Participants travel north along the east side of Oahu, passing key sightseeing points while a local English-speaking driver provides commentary on Oahu’s people, culture, and history. Stops include the Halona Blowhole, where visitors have 15 minutes to view the ocean water spraying through the blowhole and the nearby Halona Cove beach. Next is a 30-minute visit to Tropical Farms, a macadamia nut farm outlet offering samples and sales of locally grown nuts. At Kualoa Regional Park, there is a 15-minute stop to see Mokoli’i Island (also called Chinaman’s Hat) and the surrounding mountains, a popular photo spot. The tour then reaches Kahuku Sugar Mill, where there is a one-hour break to choose lunch from a variety of food trucks, including Giovanni's Shrimp Truck and others. Lunch is not included in the price. After lunch, a 15-minute stop at the roadside Farm Stand allows guests to see and buy fresh tropical fruits like papaya, dragon fruit, coconut, and apple bananas. The tour continues with a 15-minute stop at Sunset Beach, famous for large winter waves and surfing competitions. On the return trip, the group visits the Dole Plantation for 45 minutes to try the pineapple soft cream known as Dole Whip, shop, and view the plantation grounds. The tour concludes with a return to Waikiki between 4:30 and 4:45 pm. Transportation is by air-conditioned vehicle, and the group size is limited to about 10 people for a more comfortable experience.
