Overview

This tour on the island of Oahu begins with pickup from Waikiki hotels and lasts about four to five hours, including travel time. The first stop is Pearl Harbor, where visitors spend two hours at the USS Arizona Memorial. The tour includes a boat ride to the memorial site and entry to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Visitors can see the “Road to War” and “Attack” exhibit galleries, which display photographs and artifacts from the December 7, 1941 attack and World War II. The Pacific Historic Parks souvenir shop is also available for browsing. After Pearl Harbor, the tour continues to Punchbowl Crater in Honolulu, an extinct volcanic tuff cone that serves as a national memorial honoring members of the United States Armed Forces. The bus then passes through downtown Honolulu’s main business district, where several historic landmarks are visible. These include Iolani Palace, the only official royal residence on U.S. soil and home to Hawaii’s last monarchs, built in the American Florentine architectural style; the King Kamehameha statue, which honors the first ruler to unite the Hawaiian Islands; Kawaiahao Church, constructed from 14,000 coral blocks and often called the "Westminster Abbey of the Pacific"; Aloha Tower, a 1926 landmark that was once Hawaii’s tallest building and welcomed sea travelers; the Hawaii State Capitol, featuring postmodern architecture with palm tree-like pillars and an open-air courtyard; Washington Place, the former royal residence of Queen Liliʻuokalani and later the governor’s home; and Honolulu Hale, a Mediterranean-style building serving as city hall and government center for Honolulu. The tour ends with dropoff at Waikiki hotels. Included are hotel pickup and dropoff, entrance ticket and boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial, and an in-person briefing at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Gratuities are not included. Pickup from Ko Olina is not provided unless specifically stated in the booking. Bags and luggage are not allowed on the vehicles or at Pearl Harbor. Accessibility accommodations require advance notice. The tour is non-refundable if the boat ride is canceled by authorities for safety or mechanical reasons.
