The session starts by introducing the equipment, ingredients, and basic techniques needed to make traditional French pastries. Participants learn how to prepare dough from scratch using quality local ingredients, starting with kneading the predough. After rolling out the dough, each person shapes their own croissants, pain au chocolat, and pain au raisin. While the pastries rest and bake, the chef shares culinary tips and answers questions about Paris. The class ends with tasting the freshly baked pastries and taking home any leftovers. Hot and cold drinks are provided throughout, and each participant receives an illustrated recipe booklet. Health and safety equipment such as face masks and hand sanitizer are used during the workshop.
