by Cooking Class Ubud - Pemulan Bali Balinese Farm Cooking School
The Balinese Farm Cooking Class by Pemulan Bali takes place near Ubud and lasts about five hours. The class begins in the village of Pemulan, away from the city center, where participants visit a local farm to select fresh ingredients. Under the guidance of experienced local hosts, they learn to prepare traditional Balinese dishes using these farm-fresh products. The session includes instruction on food preparation techniques and the use of local spices and herbs. Tea and coffee are provided during the class. This activity offers an opportunity to meet residents of Pemulan and experience Balinese cooking in a village setting that is less visited by tourists.
Ubud Market and Organic Farm
The culinary experience begins with a complimentary pickup at Ubud's central meeting point. Morning sessions include a visit to the local market to examine fresh produce and sample fruits and snacks. Afterwards, participants visit the organic farm to select fresh ingredients by hand, explore the garden, and learn about Balinese spices and plants used daily. Cooking takes place in an open-air kitchen set in a quiet Balinese countryside, where six traditional Balinese and Indonesian dishes are prepared under chef guidance. The session concludes with a shared meal, and guests receive recipes and leftovers. Classes are scheduled at 07:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 16:00 PM.
