by Genuine Bali Experience
This three-hour silver jewelry making class takes place in Ubud, Bali, led by local instructors with more than 15 years of experience. The session begins with a welcome drink. Participants receive seven grams of silver and learn the jewelry making process from skilled Balinese silversmiths who speak English fluently. During the class, guests can create multiple pieces of silver jewelry as long as their silver supply lasts. There is an option to add gemstones for an additional fee, and extra silver can be purchased at a set price per gram. The instructors also explain Balinese culture, traditional house philosophy, and the background of their craft. Some team members are professional guides who can provide further information about Bali if requested. Participants should inform the operator of any dietary requirements when booking.
Delodsema Silver Village
Delodsema is a village where about 70% of the men work as silversmiths, supporting the local economy. The workshop instructors are local silversmiths, and part of the fees helps the community. The visit starts with a hotel pickup and a welcome with Balinese coffee or tea and snacks. Visitors are introduced to Balinese traditions and shown sample jewelry. They then create their own piece by melting, shaping, and polishing silver under guidance, and take the finished jewelry home.
