by Peru Tours and Culture EIRL
The class begins by entering a spacious kitchen set within a garden in Arequipa, known as the cradle of Peruvian cuisine. Participants spend about 100 minutes learning to prepare a two-course meal, including an entrée, main dish, refreshment, and dessert. Professional instructors guide each person through the cooking process, adjusting the difficulty based on individual skill levels and answering questions throughout. The setting includes access to the garden and internet signal, providing a comfortable place to prepare and then enjoy the meal together. This activity encourages conversation among travelers as they share the food they have prepared. Refreshments or water are included, but other drinks and gratuities are not. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not provided.
Hands-on Peruvian Cooking Class
Participate in an interactive cooking session focused on Arequipa's cuisine, led by expert instructors. Prepare a two-course Peruvian meal from fresh, local ingredients with no prior cooking experience needed. Choose from three menus: a sample menu, a local Andean menu, or a fish-based menu, with options for vegetarian or dietary restrictions upon request. A detailed recipe with measurements is provided to replicate the dishes later. The class includes photo opportunities and hands-on guidance throughout.
