Overview

This 5.5-hour guided tour covers key attractions around Phuket Island by air-conditioned minivan with a professional local guide. The tour begins with a drive along Phuket’s southern coast, passing Patong Beach, known for its lively atmosphere. It continues to Karon Viewpoint, where visitors spend about 20 minutes viewing Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon beaches. Next is a 45-minute visit to Wat Chalong, the largest temple complex on Phuket Island, featuring several religious buildings including a viharn, mondop, ubosot, chedi with a hidden relic, sala, and crematorium. After the temple, the tour stops for about 20 minutes at a cashew nut factory where guests can sample local cashew nuts and learn about production. The route then passes through Old Phuket Town, noted for its Sino-Portuguese architecture, but without a stop for walking on this morning tour. The highlight is a 45-minute visit to the Big Buddha, a 45-meter-tall white marble statue visible from much of southern Phuket and still under construction. The tour ends at a souvenir shop where visitors may stay as long as they wish or leave immediately; transportation back to the hotel is arranged accordingly. All entrance fees, hotel pickup and drop-off, insurance, and cashew nut sampling are included. Gratuities are not included.
