Pisa is a historic Tuscan city known for its famous Leaning Tower and medieval architecture. This small-group walking tour lasts about three hours and includes a guided walk through Pisa’s main landmarks and some less frequented sites. The group meets at the Fontana della Stazione di Pisa near Pisa Centrale station, then walks at a slow pace through several key areas. The tour begins with an introduction to Pisa’s history in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, followed by a visit to the large mural Tuttomondo by Keith Haring. The route continues along Corso Italia, Pisa’s main pedestrian and shopping street, then reaches Ponte di Mezzo on the Arno River, where you can see notable buildings such as Palazzo Blu. Crossing the river leads to Borgo Stretto, the medieval heart of the city, and then to Piazza dei Cavalieri, known for its Renaissance architecture and university buildings. The group then moves to Piazza dei Miracoli, where the guide provides an overview of the Cathedral and Leaning Tower. Entry to the Cathedral is included, with guidelines on dress code and photography allowed inside. After about two and a half hours, the guide assists with bag storage before you climb the Leaning Tower on your own, which takes around 30 minutes. The tour ends after the climb, around 1:00pm.
