This tour begins at the Porta Marina Inferiore entrance to Pompeii, where an archaeologist leads the group through key sites including the Basilica, Forum, Via dell’Abbondanza, House of Menander, granary with plaster casts of eruption victims, Stabian Baths, Lupanar brothel, House of Faun, Odeon (Teatro Piccolo), and the main Pompeii Theater. After exploring Pompeii's ruins for several hours, participants take a break before traveling to Herculaneum. Depending on the departure point, transportation to Herculaneum is by local Circumvesuviana train from Pompeii or by minibus from Naples, Sorrento, or Rome. At Herculaneum, the guide visits notable sites such as the House of the Stags, La Terrazza di M. Nonio Balbo, College of the Augustales, the house linked to Marcus Nonius Balbus with access to the Suburban Thermae, Casa del Tramezzo di Legno, House of the Skeleton, Central Thermae, House of the Black Hall, Casa Sannitica, Casa del Bel Cortile, and House of the Grand Portal.
