From there, the guide leads visitors through Pompeii’s main political and social areas, including the Basilica, Forum, and key temples. Participants walk along the Decumanus Maximus, the ancient city’s main street, visiting private houses, shops, and Roman taverns. The tour includes stops at the plaster casts of eruption victims and continues to the Theatre and Gladiators’ Barracks. The guide provides detailed explanations of Pompeii’s architecture and daily life. Tickets to the Pompeii Archaeological Park are not included but a link to purchase skip-the-line tickets will be sent the afternoon before the tour. The guide will assist with ticket purchase on site if needed.
