Overview

This 50-minute boat cruise on the Vltava River offers views of Prague’s key landmarks from the water. The boat departs every hour from Čech Bridge Dock, Pier No. 4. Passengers can choose to sit inside or on the outside deck and may purchase drinks and snacks on board. The cruise begins by traveling upstream past the Rudolfinum and the Old Town, then moves beneath the 600-year-old stone pillars of Charles Bridge. The boat then turns back, providing photo opportunities of Prague Castle’s skyline. The route continues around Kampa Island, showcasing its architecture, while the Straka Academy, home to the Czech Government Office, appears on the left. Further along, the boat passes the classicist Civic Swimming Pool, and overhead views include Letná Park with the Prague Metronome and the EXPO 58 Building. The cruise also goes by Štvanice Island and the historic Na Františku Hospital complex before returning to the dock. An audio commentary in three languages provides information about each sight and Prague in general. Wi-Fi is available on board, and an interactive online guide with 13 languages can be accessed during the cruise.
