The kitchen is modest, equipped with a two-burner cooktop, yet Putu efficiently prepares several dishes during the session. Possible dishes include grilled eggplant with tomato, grilled fish served with Balinese sambal chili sauce, a curry which may be chicken, fish, or vegetarian, and various pepes - seasoned foods steamed in banana leaves. After the cooking lesson, which takes about one to two hours, you will sit down to eat the meal you helped prepare together with Putu and her family. The experience includes round-trip transport from hotels within Ubud, all taxes and fees, non-alcoholic drinks, and one to two glasses of local alcohol. Gratuities are also included.
