Overview

Discover matcha through tasting and hands-on drink making in central Shibuya! Learn how matcha was enjoyed in the past and how it is used today. Compare a sweetened matcha powder with 100% pure matcha, noticing differences in color, aroma, sweetness, and flavor. Our pure matcha comes directly from a historic 10th-generation tea merchant in Shizuoka and is not sold in regular stores. Use traditional tea tools to whisk the pure matcha and make your own matcha latte. Friendly English-speaking hosts guide you step by step, so beginners are welcome! Optional matcha tonic and seasonal drinks are available at extra cost. This relaxed 45-minute workshop fits easily between sightseeing and shopping in Shibuya.
