Overview
This private one-hour samurai training lesson takes place in Tokyo's Asakusa area under the supervision of Ukon Takafuji, Iemoto of the Kenbu Ukon-ryu school. The session is limited to one group per time slot, with a maximum of ten participants. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and the minimum age to participate is six years. The experience begins with the group gathering at a designated meeting place, which will be confirmed at least two days before the scheduled date and may vary depending on the number of participants. Participants then change into rental samurai costumes and belt their swords. After dressing, the group takes a commemorative photo. The training starts with formal greetings, followed by practice of traditional sword techniques including battou (drawing the katana), nattou (sheathing the katana), and kata movements. The session continues with practicing samurai sword fighting moves that simulate battle techniques. A video recording is made during the practice. The lesson ends with closing greetings, after which participants change out of their costumes. Each participant receives a certificate of recognition along with photo data and video footage on an SD card. The package includes rental costumes, instruction by a local guide, and photo and video materials. Gratuities and hotel pickup or drop-off are not included.

Samurai Training Tokyo Asakusa
