From there, walk to Largo di Torre Argentina, the site of four ancient Roman temples and Julius Caesar’s assassination, now also a cat sanctuary. Continue along Rome’s streets past hidden churches, noble palaces, and decorative fountains, arriving at the Pantheon. Built by Agrippa in 27 BC and converted into a church in the 7th century, this well-preserved ancient building features a large unreinforced dome with a central oculus. You have free time to explore the Pantheon’s interior independently, where you can see the marble floors, Corinthian columns, and tombs of Raphael and King Victor Emmanuel II. This walking tour lasts about one hour and includes a professional guide’s historical commentary and the Pantheon entrance ticket.
