Overview

This walking tour lasts about two and a half hours and covers several of Rome’s main historic sites. You start at Piazza Navona, where you can see Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers and observe the Baroque architecture and street performers. Next, the tour moves to the Pantheon, where the group option includes entry inside to see the dome and oculus; the private option only includes an exterior explanation. After the Pantheon, the guide takes you to Piazza Colonna to view the Column of Marcus Aurelius and hear about its connection to Rome’s imperial past and nearby Italian Parliament. Then you visit the Trevi Fountain, where you learn about its history and have time for photos. Tossing a coin in the fountain is not included and requires a separate ticket. Nearby, you take a break with authentic Italian gelato, included with the group tour. The tour ends in the area around the Spanish Steps and Piazza Di Spagna, where you can enjoy the lively atmosphere and explore surrounding streets.
