Overview

This two-hour kayak tour takes place in the mangrove tunnels of Rookery Bay National Estuarine Reserve near Naples. Participants will paddle through calm waters surrounded by mangroves while spotting local wildlife including various birds, sea creatures, dolphins, and manatees. A biologist and Florida naturalist guide leads the group, providing detailed information about the local ecosystem and the history of the area. The tour welcomes all skill levels from beginners to advanced kayakers and is suitable for children aged 4 and older when accompanied by a parent or older sibling. Life preservers, paddles, and dry bags are provided along with paddling instructions and a safety briefing before the tour starts. The tour begins at Capri Paddlecraft Park where participants paddle for about two hours through mangrove tunnels. Wildlife sightings may include local birds, sea creatures, dolphins, and manatees in this subtropical estuary environment.
