This afternoon wine tour lasts about five and a half hours and begins with a meeting in front of the Bordeaux Tourist Office at 12 cours du 30 Juillet. Participants travel by air-conditioned minivan from Bordeaux to Saint-Emilion. During the drive, the guide provides information about Bordeaux’s vineyards and tests wine knowledge while pointing out local scenery. The first stop is a visit to a Grand Cru or Grand Cru Classé château in Saint-Emilion or Pomerol. At this winery, the group learns about the winemaking process and tastes several of the estate’s wines.
