Overview

The tour lasts about eight to nine hours, starting at 9:30 am with a meeting in Bordeaux. Participants then travel by vehicle to the Saint-Emilion region. Upon arrival, each person receives an electric bike and helmet before cycling through the vineyards and countryside on quiet country roads. The first stop is Chateau Ambe Tour Pourret, a family-run estate where guests tour the property and taste wines. Lunch is served at the same winery, consisting of a picnic with traditional French items such as cheeses, cold cuts, vegetables, and bread. After lunch, the group cycles to a second estate, Les Domaines De Moncets, for another visit and wine tasting. Later, there is free time in the medieval village of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where a guided walking tour covers historic monuments and viewpoints. The walking tour ends with a wine tasting in the village center. The tour concludes with a return to Bordeaux around 6 pm. Bottled water, helmets, use of electric bicycles, lunch, wine tastings, an English-speaking guide, and all fees and taxes are included. Participants must be confident cyclists and at least 155 cm tall. In case of rain, ponchos are provided and the ride may be adapted or replaced by a van tour if weather conditions are severe.
