Overview

Riders begin the tour at Perissa Black Sand Beach, setting off on electric bikes or scooters for a three-hour trip along Santorini’s southwest coast. The route takes participants to Emporio village, where a stop at the old Castelli district allows time to walk through narrow streets near the Venetian castle. Next, the group pedals through vineyards on the way to Megalochori, where visitors can taste three local wines and kritharoboukie at Santorini’s oldest winery. Afterward, riders pause at a viewpoint known as the Heart of Santorini to see the Caldera. The tour concludes by passing under the windmills of Emporio before returning to Perissa. The tour includes use of an electric bike or scooter, helmet and gloves, bottled mineral water, snacks, coffee or tea or wine tasting, an action camera or phone for recording, hotel pickup and drop-off, and an experienced guide who provides a safety briefing. The route is mostly moderate, flat, and consists mainly of off-road and backroad paths, avoiding traffic and crowded areas. The ride suits those aged 16 and older who know how to ride a regular bike. Group size is limited to six. Riders must meet height and weight requirements and provide those details in advance to receive a properly sized bike.
