Overview

This full-day boat tour combines a helmet diving experience on Green Island with time to explore the island itself. Green Island is a 6,000-year-old coral cay located 45 minutes from Cairns by fast catamaran operated by Great Adventures. It features the only coral cay rainforest in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Participants begin with a fast catamaran cruise from Cairns, including morning tea or coffee served onboard before departure. Upon arrival, guests can take part in the Seawalker helmet dive, a 40-minute underwater walking activity on the seafloor near the island where the head remains dry and glasses can be worn. This activity is supervised by professional guides and suitable for non-swimmers. After the dive, visitors have access to the island’s day visitor facilities, including an exclusive swimming pool, a self-guided island walk, and a choice between a glass bottom boat tour or snorkelling equipment. The island also offers a pool bar, restaurant, and refreshments with a range of meal and snack options. The tour concludes with a return fast catamaran cruise to Cairns. Hotel pickup and drop-off are not included, and a fuel surcharge is payable at check-in.
