Overview

This 3-hour food tour in Seville takes place with a small group of no more than 12 participants. It includes more than seven food tastings and two drinks, sufficient for a light meal, guided by a local English-speaking culinary expert. The tour moves at a relaxed pace during the daytime. The tour begins at Setas de Sevilla market, where participants observe daily market life and taste thinly sliced Iberian ham from the top charcuterie stall. Then the group visits Bar El Comercio for about 20 minutes to watch churros being made fresh by the owner Paco, accompanied by hot chocolate in a traditional setting. Next is Barrio Santa Cruz, the old Jewish quarter, where the tour enters a historic convent to sample homemade cookies made by nuns. The group then moves to a venue that functions as both bar and museum dedicated to Holy Week, enjoying vermouth with two tapas including montadito sandwiches filled with shredded pork and marinated potatoes. The final stop is Freiduría La Isla, a lively local restaurant run by a father and son team, known for freshly fried fish served in paper cones and accompanied by dry white wine. The fried fish is prepared using a special local marinade called adobo. The tour covers around 3.5 kilometers on foot and involves standing and walking throughout.
