Overview

Seville is home to Spain’s largest historic center, featuring plazas, narrow streets, and landmarks from various eras. This small-group walking tour lasts about two hours and includes stops outside major sites like Seville Cathedral, the Royal Alcazar, and Plaza de España. The group size is limited to 15 people. An expert local guide shares detailed stories about Seville’s history, covering Phoenician, Roman, Islamic, and Christian periods. The tour begins at Plaza de San Francisco or a nearby café if breakfast is selected. The optional breakfast served at 9:30 AM includes traditional Andalusian artisan toast with various toppings and local coffee, available before the walking portion starts. The route includes viewing the exterior of the Ayuntamiento (City Hall), Torre Giralda, Catedral de Sevilla, Real Alcazar, Archivo General de Indias, one of Seville’s historic city gates, Real Fabrica de Tabacos, and concludes at Plaza de España. If breakfast is chosen, the itinerary also passes Plaza del Salvador, known for its baroque architecture and former mosque site, and the Setas de Sevilla, the world’s largest wooden structure with archaeological ruins beneath it. Entrance fees to monuments are not included since visits are only from the outside. Food and drinks are not covered except for the optional breakfast. There is no hotel pick-up or drop-off service. The guide provides engaging historical commentary throughout the walk.
