Overview

Shanghai is a city where modern skyscrapers stand alongside historic neighborhoods. This private full-day tour lasts about eight hours and covers major landmarks on both the east and west sides of Shanghai, giving a broad view of the city's architecture and culture. The tour begins with a visit to the Shanghai Tower in Lujiazui, the tallest building in China at 632 meters, featuring the world's highest observation deck and fastest elevators. Next is the Oriental Pearl Tower, 468 meters tall, with a glass floor observation deck in its highest sphere. Then the Shanghai World Financial Center is visited, known for its bottle opener shape and three observation decks up to the 100th floor with glass-walled walkways. The afternoon includes stops at Yu Garden, a Ming Dynasty classical garden with halls, statues, rock structures, and water features, as well as Yuyuan Old Street nearby, a historical commercial street with shops and cultural sites. The tour continues to the Shanghai Confucian Temple, founded during the Yuan Dynasty, featuring gardens, halls, statues, and a traditional tea ceremony. A walk through the Former French Concession illustrates the colonial-era history with its unique architecture and tree-lined streets. Finally, the tour ends at The Bund, a riverside promenade lined with historic buildings from various countries. This tour includes a personal guide, flexible start time, hotel pickup and drop-off, and entrance fees if selected. An authentic dumpling lunch is available as an option. Travel is by private car or metro and taxis if chosen. Observation deck visits in Lujiazui are optional and can be decided based on conditions.
