Overview

Fez is a historic city in Morocco known for its medieval architecture and vibrant markets. This 2-day, 1-night shared group desert tour travels from Fez to Fez through the Merzouga desert. The journey begins with a morning pickup from the hotel or riad at 7:30 AM. The group travels by air-conditioned vehicle with stops including Ifrane, known for its cedar forests in the Middle Atlas Mountains, followed by a lunch break in Midelt. The route continues through the Ziz Valley and a stop in Erfoud before reaching Merzouga. Upon arrival, luggage is stored at the hotel and a camel ride of around 45 minutes takes the group to nomad tents in the desert. Dinner is served under the night sky accompanied by a Berber folklore show. The night is spent at a luxury desert camp. The next morning starts early to watch the sunrise over Erg Chebbi dunes. Afterward, the group rides camels back to the hotel or riad for breakfast and a shower. The return trip to Fez includes visits to Rissani, the Zawiya Moulay Ali Ash-Sharif, the Ziz Valley, and Damn Hassan El-Awal. There is a lunch stop and a visit to families living in caves at Immouzar. The tour concludes with a drop-off at the original hotel or riad in Fez. The tour includes a professional English-French speaking driver, camel guide, camel ride, dinner, breakfast, comfortable air-conditioned transportation, night stay in a luxury desert camp, and hotel pickup and drop-off. Lunches and personal items are not included.
