First departure from Smithfield: 8:45 AM Last departure from Smithfield: 2:00 PM Last one-way departure from Kuranda: 3:15 PM Kuranda Scenic Railway Operates daily (except scheduled maintenance days and Christmas Day). Morning departures from Cairns: 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM Afternoon departures from Kuranda: 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM You will depart to Skyrail Kuranda 3 hours after you depart from Skyrail Smithfield. For example, depart Skyrail Smithfield at 09:00, depart Skyrail Kuranda at 12:00 Please always refer to the Closure Dates: Skyrail Rainforest Cableway before make bookings

Skyrail Kuranda to Barron Falls loop experience lasts 1 hour including 20-30 minutes at Barron Falls Station Barron Falls Station: Ranger Guided tour at Barron Falls, The Edge Lookout / Barron Falls (Dindin), Rainforest Interpretation Centre, Heritage Display / Historical precinct Spend approximately 2 hours exploring Kuranda Village The historic Kuranda Scenic Railway experience lasts 2 hours between Kuranda and Cairns Central Railway Station and includes English commentary and a short photo opportunity stop at Barron Falls This package is only available during Stage 1 of Skyrail 2.0 Upgrade Project (19 Aug-25 Oct 2026). Kindly note that dates and times subject to change. During this time, Skyrail will only be operating Wednesday-Sunday (Closed on Monday and Tuesday) with shorter hours of operation Itinerary Bus pickup from selected Cairns city locations to Skyrail’s Kuranda Terminal Skyrail Kuranda to Barron Falls Loop at 12:15am Free time in Kuranda Village Train departs Kuranda at 15:30 Disembark Train at Cairns Central Railway Station, make your own way back to accommodation
