Overview

This day trip lasts about 9 and a half hours, starting with a minibus departure from London to the Cotswolds, an area known for its English countryside and stone cottages. The tour operates with small groups of up to 16 passengers and includes a Driver-Guide who shares local history and stories throughout the journey. The vehicle is air-conditioned for comfort. The first stop is Burford, often called the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds.’ Visitors have around an hour to explore this historic town with houses dating back nearly 600 years. There is time to visit the large church and walk along the high street, which features independent family-run shops. Next, the tour visits the village of Bibury for about 40 minutes. Here guests can walk along the river and see Arlington Row, a famous row of weavers’ cottages that represent traditional English village life. Lunch takes place in Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ due to its river setting. Visitors spend about an hour and a half here. The final stop is Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds, where the group spends around 50 minutes. This town has a market square surrounded by old inns and antique shops. It was the inspiration for JRR Tolkien and the site of the last English Civil War battle in 1646. Lunch and gratuities are not included in the price. The tour runs from 9:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening. Children under seven years old are not permitted on this tour.
