This five-hour small group snorkeling expedition explores the South Kona Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii, visiting three locations: Kealakekua Bay, Pu’uhonua O Honaunau, and a private black sand beach not accessible by other tours. The trip begins with boarding a custom-designed boat that allows close access to sea caves and lava tubes formed thousands of years ago. Participants snorkel at each site, with opportunities to see marine animals such as pilot whales, Hawaiian spinner dolphins, and green sea turtles. The captain and crew provide commentary on the cultural and historical significance of the areas visited throughout the expedition. All snorkeling gear, flotation devices, lunch, snacks, bottled water, and juice are included. Guests should bring a swimsuit, reef-safe sunscreen, and a towel. Some swimming and snorkeling experience is recommended, and participants must be able to climb a short ladder to board the boat. Pregnant women and individuals with back injuries are not permitted to join this tour.
