The rafting portion lasts approximately two hours and fifteen minutes on the glacial-fed Sunwapta River, the only Class III white water river in Jasper National Park. The trip starts with a calm floating section where rafters can practice paddling techniques. The rapids then increase in intensity, culminating in a rapid called The Whopper, which soaks all participants just before the takeout point. Rafts hold six people and are guided by professional guides who provide all necessary rafting equipment, including safety gear. The trip operates in all weather conditions, rain or shine.
