Overview

Discover an excellent beach 30 minutes from Panama City. It is Taboga Island, also known as the Island of Flowers. You will make a brief visit to the village of Taboga and enjoy the rest of the day free. You will know where Pizarro started issuing exploration and conquest of the South Seas; where Paul Gauguin lived and painted some of his works; as well as other historic aspects and personalities. During the day, you can spend time in Playa La Restinga, which links the island of Taboga with Morro island, and observe a curious phenomenon the beach comes to disappear underwater or is washed by two facing sides according to the height of the tide.
