To operate a jet ski, Florida law requires a Boaters Safety Certificate for all born on or after January 1, 1988, when driving any motorized vessel of 10hp or more alone or with a passenger born on or after that date. Drivers must be at least 16 years old on the day of the tour. Those born before January 1, 1988 do not need the certificate. Those born on or after January 1, 1988 and over 18 years old do not need the certificate if accompanied by someone born before January 1, 1988 on the same jet ski.
Drivers must be at least 16 years old and present valid identification to operate a jet ski.
Jet skis have a capacity limit of two people and a maximum combined weight of 450 pounds.
Participants must bring a valid ID and a printed or digital Boaters Safety Certificate to the tour.
Each driver is required to present a form of identification, such as a Driver’s License or Passport.
Guests aged 4 to 15 years are not permitted to drive jet skis but may ride as passengers with someone aged 18 or older.
Guests aged 16 to 17 may drive a jet ski if they show a valid government-issued photo ID, complete a Boater’s Safety Test, and have a natural or adoptive parent present a valid government-issued photo ID and sign a waiver at check-in. If two minors aged 16 to 17 share a jet ski, both must fulfill these requirements.
Guests aged 18 and older may drive a jet ski if they present a valid government-issued photo ID and either were born before 1988 or have completed a Boater’s Safety Test. When two adults share a jet ski, only one must meet these requirements. All adult guests must show valid government-issued photo IDs.
If guests arrive without a photo ID for the driver or without the boaters license or certificate when required, they will need to reschedule or receive a gift certificate. Refunds are not available.
Passengers must be at least 4 years old to ride on the jet ski.
