Overview

The tour lasts about eight hours and begins early near Teotihuacan. At 5:30 am, participants arrive in the Teotihuacan Municipality for coffee and registration. Around 6 am, the balloon is prepared while guests can take photos. The balloon flight then lasts 40 to 60 minutes, depending on weather conditions, flying over the Teotihuacan Valley. After landing, there is a toast with sparkling wine and a certificate of flight. At 8:30 am, the group moves to the restaurant La Cueva, a natural cave, for breakfast. Following the meal, there is a visit to an artisan house where the culture of Teotihuacan, the agave maguey plant, and obsidian mineral are explained. Guests taste typical Mexican drinks such as pulque, tequila, mezcal, and other local liquors. They also meet the endangered Aztec dog breed Xoloitzcuintle. From 10:30 am, guests have one and a half to two hours of free time in the Teotihuacan archaeological zone. This area features the largest pyramids in Mesoamerica, including the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, and the Temple of Quetzalcóatl. After touring and photography, the group returns to Mexico City around 12:45 pm. Round-trip transport from Mexico City is optional depending on the selected package.
