Overview
This 90-minute workshop in Shibuya teaches how to make Nerikiri, traditional Japanese sweets often served at tea ceremonies. Participants create nine sample designs and then make their own original edible art. The session includes a casual, table-style Japanese tea ceremony where freshly whisked matcha is served with premium Japanese sweets sourced from across Japan. The workshop takes place in a private home, providing a view of traditional Japanese living. It starts at 9:00 AM, 1:00 PM, or 3:30 PM, before most shops open, making it a convenient morning or afternoon activity. The location is three minutes from Omotesando Station and within walking distance of Shibuya, Harajuku, Meiji Shrine, and Takeshita Street. The experience is suitable for all ages, including families, friends, couples, and solo travelers. All sweets made during the session can be taken home as souvenirs. Tea and coffee are provided. All fees and taxes are included.

Nerikiri Sweet Making & Matcha
Participants will make three Nerikiri sweets by selecting from sample designs and then crafting an original shape. All created sweets can be taken home. Following this, a table-style tea ceremony is conducted where matcha is served alongside Japanese sweets sourced nationwide. The activity welcomes participants of all ages, including children and elderly, and is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Located three minutes on foot from Omotesando Station and close to Shibuya and Harajuku, the workshop starts at 9:00 AM to allow a full day in Tokyo since most shops open around 11:00. The meeting spot is opposite CHUMS Omotesando, in front of the Brown building, with only a 30-second walk to the venue. Sessions are scheduled at 9:00, 13:00, and 15:30.
