Overview

This Tokyo by Night Photography Walking Tour lasts about two and a half hours and starts in Shinjuku Sanchome. Participants meet their English-speaking local guide, who is also a professional photographer, at a cozy izakaya where one drink is included. During this time, the guide discusses each participant's preferred photography style, such as neon cityscapes or street photography. The tour then continues on foot through various parts of Tokyo, including Shinjuku Golden Gai, Kabukicho, and Shibuya. In Shinjuku Golden Gai, participants spend about fifteen minutes photographing the narrow alleys and unique bars. The guide leads the group through Kabukicho for approximately thirty minutes, stopping at photogenic locations. The route also passes landmarks like Shibuya 109, the bronze statue of Hachiko, and Shibuya Center-gai. In Shibuya, the tour spends around forty minutes photographing the famous Shibuya Crossing, known as one of the busiest intersections in the world. Nearby, participants can capture street scenes around the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and enjoy panoramic night views from the observation decks on the 45th floor. Throughout the tour, the guide takes photos of participants and shares local information. At the end, each participant receives twenty professionally edited photos from the tour. Dinner is not included, and train transportation costs are the responsibility of participants. The tour route and stops may change depending on weather, crowd levels, or other conditions. A private tour option is available. Cameras are not required but can be used to take personal photos.
