Overview

This nine-hour tour departs from Madrid in a Mercedes Vito class minivan with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Group size ranges from 4 to 14 people. The first stop is Consuegra, located in the region of La Mancha, where participants spend about one and a half hours at Cerro Calderico. There, they visit twelve whitewashed windmills built in the 19th century, including the Rucio Windmill, which is included in the entrance fee. The guide provides explanations about the historical and literary significance of the windmills, which inspired the adventures of Don Quixote, the famous character from Miguel de Cervantes' novel. After the visit to the windmills, the tour continues with a 45-minute drive to Toledo. Upon arrival, participants walk approximately twenty minutes, weather permitting, crossing the Alcantara Bridge to reach Plaza de Zocodover and then proceed to the restaurant for a one-hour lunch included in the tour. If weather conditions prevent crossing the bridge, the walking route is adjusted accordingly. Following lunch, there are about two hours of free time for participants to explore Toledo independently. The group then meets again at Plaza de Zocodover before visiting the Mirador del Valle viewpoint for roughly fifteen minutes to see panoramic views of Toledo. The return drive to Madrid takes about 45 minutes. Bottled water, all fees and taxes, lunch, and entrance to the Rucio Windmill are included. The guide speaks Spanish and uses pre-recorded audio translations in multiple languages for other participants. This is a semi-private tour without connections to other operators. At the end of the tour, participants receive unique photographs of the day by email.
