Overview

The tour departs from Florence city center in the early morning and lasts approximately eleven and a half hours, covering key locations in Tuscany: Pisa, a winery in the Chianti hills near San Gimignano, San Gimignano itself, and Siena. The first stop is Pisa, where participants have about two hours to visit the Piazza dei Miracoli. Here, they can see the cathedral, the baptistery, and the monumental cemetery. There is an option to add tickets to climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which takes about forty minutes. After Pisa, the group travels through the Chianti countryside along the scenic Strada Statale 222 Chiantigiana to reach a typical winery on the slopes of San Gimignano. At the winery, guests enjoy a light lunch accompanied by a tasting of three local wines and regional specialties such as bruschetta, pecorino cheese, and cold cuts. Following lunch, there is one hour to explore San Gimignano, including its medieval streets, main squares like Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Cisterna, and local craft shops. The tour then continues with a panoramic view of the Chianti hills before arriving in Siena. A professional guide leads a ninety-minute tour of Siena’s main attractions, including Piazza del Campo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, and several of the city's Contrade neighborhoods. After the guided portion, there is free time to have coffee, try Pan Forte (a typical local cake), and shop in local stores. The tour returns to Florence city center in the evening. The package includes an expert multilingual escort (except for the transfer-only option), a guided tour in Siena (except for transfer-only), wine tasting of three wines, Leaning Tower tickets if selected, air-conditioned bus transfer with Wi-Fi, and lunch at the winery (except for transfer-only). Pick-up service is not included. The order of visits may change. Children under eight years old cannot enter the Leaning Tower. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with prior notice.
