Overview

This full-day private tour covers the main attractions of Udaipur using a private car with an air-conditioned driver. The tour starts with a visit to the City Palace on the eastern bank of Lake Pichola, where the architecture combines Rajasthani, European, Chinese, and Mughal styles. Visitors can see marble and granite structures with detailed marble, mirror, silver, and wall paintings. The complex also includes nearby monuments such as the Monsoon Palace and Neemach Mata temple. Next, the tour stops at Jagdish Temple, a large Indo-Aryan style temple built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Then, the group visits the Ahar Cenotaphs, about 2 km east of Udaipur, where over 250 cenotaphs including 19 commemorating maharajas cremated there are found. A boat ride on Lake Pichola follows, passing its islands including Jagmandir, also known as the Lake Garden Palace, a palace built by the Sisodia Rajputs. The tour continues with a drive through Bada Bazar and a stop at the local vegetable and spice market, featuring fresh produce, tea, spices, livestock, and household goods. The newly opened Udaipur Ropeway provides a cable car ride linking Deen Dayal Park near Lake Pichola to Machhala Hill Top close to the Karni Mata temple. The tour also visits Saheliyon ki Bari, a garden built by Maharana Bhopal Singh with fountains, pools, marble elephants, and a small museum, originally created for 48 women attendants of a princess. Additional stops include Fateh Sagar Lake, an artificial lake built in the 1680s northwest of Lake Pichola, the Vintage Collection of Classic Cars Museum showcasing rare vehicles, and the Crystal Gallery located inside Fateh Prakash Palace with its extensive crystal collection. Throughout the day, the tour includes a private driver, air-conditioned vehicle, hotel pickup and drop-off, and bottled water. A professional English-speaking guide is available at major sites but is optional. Entrance fees, meals, and gratuities are not included.
