Overview

This intimate whale watching day trip departs from Vancouver and lasts between three and five hours, typically around four hours. The tour travels along the west coast of British Columbia, focusing on the Strait of Georgia and nearby waters. Participants search for killer whales, humpback whales, seals, sea lions, porpoises, and various marine birds. A professional marine naturalist with a background in marine biology is on board to point out wildlife and provide tips for spotting animals. The route offers clear views of downtown Vancouver as the vessel moves through the coastal waters. Sunscreen and bottled water are provided, and restroom facilities are available on the boat. Food is not included but can be purchased nearby at Granville Island's Public Market, located just outside the meeting point. The tour does not include hotel pickup or drop-off, and gratuities are not covered. Participants must be at least five feet tall to join, and children must be accompanied by an adult. The tour may be canceled due to sea conditions. If no whales are seen, guests receive a voucher for a free future trip. Vessels cannot accommodate wheelchairs, strollers, or walkers, and the tour is not recommended for those with back or neck problems.
