Overview

This day trip by luxury air-conditioned coach lasts about nine and a half hours and takes you from Paris to two major French attractions. First, visit the Fondation Claude Monet in Giverny, where the artist lived from 1833 until 1926. You will walk through the gardens, including the Clos Normand area, crossing the famous Japanese bridge and seeing the water lily pond that inspired many paintings. The visit includes free time inside Monet’s house. After spending around two hours at Monet’s residence and gardens, the group stops for a three-course lunch with drinks included at the Moulin de Fourges, an 18th-century mill influenced by Marie Antoinette’s hamlet. After lunch, the tour continues to Versailles, where you will see Louis XIV’s statue on horseback before entering the palace. At Versailles, the guide will lead you through the Great Royal Apartments, if you selected the guided option, or you can use the audioguide. You’ll spend about an hour inside the palace, then walk through the Hall of Mirrors for about 20 minutes. Finally, you will have 30 minutes to explore the Versailles gardens, where fountains, sculptures, and forests are on display. If your visit falls on a Saturday or Sunday, you may also see the Musical Fountains show. The guide is available throughout the palace and garden visits to answer questions. Priority entrance tickets are included for both locations.
