The tour begins at Victoria’s Fisherman’s Wharf, where passengers board a semi-covered or open boat for a three-hour sunset whale-watching cruise. Certified naturalists provide live commentary about the wildlife and natural history of the Salish Sea throughout the trip. The cruise guarantees whale sightings; if no whales are seen, a free return trip is offered. As the sun sets, the boat returns through Victoria’s inner harbour, allowing passengers to see the city’s evening lights. The tour includes a local guide, Goods and Services Tax (GST), a wildlife fee, and a fuel surcharge. Food and drinks are not included, and gratuities are optional. Restrooms are available on board. Semi-covered vessels are wheelchair and stroller accessible. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Guests with health conditions or pregnancy should inform the operator when booking and are advised to choose the larger semi-covered vessels for a safer trip.
