Overview
The Victoria Marine Wildlife Tour departs from Victoria’s Fisherman’s Wharf on Vancouver Island and lasts three hours. The tour takes place on either a semi-covered catamaran or an open boat designed for wildlife viewing. A certified naturalist guide provides information about the marine life and natural history of the Salish Sea throughout the trip. Passengers can expect to see seals, sea lions, otters, porpoises, bald eagles, and various marine birds. There is also a chance to spot larger whales such as humpback, killer, minke, or grey whales. Onboard restrooms are available for convenience. The tour includes a local guide, Goods and Services Tax, a wildlife fee, and fuel surcharges. Food, drinks, and gratuities are not included. Children must be accompanied by an adult. From November to April, boat types and departure times may vary depending on weather and tour numbers. Passengers are advised to inform the operator of any health issues, medical conditions, or pregnancy at the time of booking.
