Chania, located on the island of Crete, is known for its high-quality local food. This walking food tasting tour lasts about two hours and twenty minutes and offers a chance to try a variety of traditional Cretan products. Participants will taste local specialties such as Raki (Tsikoudia), Cretan Bougatsa, different types of cheese, olives, and sweets. Tea, coffee, snacks, meals, and alcoholic beverages are included. The tour starts with a visit to a well-known spot for traditional Bougatsa, spending about 20 minutes sampling this local pastry. It continues through both the modern and old parts of Chania town, including stops at a local herbs and products shop considered a secret gem among residents, and a traditional Cretan knife maker. Along the route, the group passes the Market, currently under reconstruction, the narrow streets of the old town, and the Venetian Port. The tour is not led by a licensed guide. There are six to seven tasting stops in total, beginning in the new town area and concluding in the old town. Extra drinks beyond those listed are not included. It is not that we are eating Pizza. It is just a place with shade - where we meet. Opposite to the taxi station - square 1866. For the tour with lunch in the village, we can do pick up and drop off, if the distance is in a radius of 20 kms from Chania. Send us a message.
